Asphalt Paving

Asphalt is the material of choice for many projects due to its durability, longevity, and cost effectiveness. It is the perfect material for giving your driveway, parking lot, or road the reliable surface it needs for many years to come.

Asphalt Repair

Asphalt damage is a common problem due to aging, heavy traffic, poor drainage, or not being installed to engineering standards. We provide asphalt repair services as a viable option for fixing problematic areas. Repairing a pot hole or problem area sooner than later can keep the damage from spreading and becoming an even larger problem.

Gravel Laying and Fine Grading

Installing an aggregate base is the first step in preparing for asphalt, but can also be used as a more affordable alternative to pavement. We install gravel driveways and lots, as well as touch up existing surfaces.

Sealcoating

Sealcoating the asphalt, seals the small cracks that can turn into large cracks and prevents water from seeping down to the base material. The dark black color of newly applied sealcoat improves the appearance of new and old asphalt, making your driveway or parking lot look near brand new.

Established in 1949 in Wake Forest, NC, Calvin Ray Paving Contractor has been a local, family operated business for over 70 years. Originally started by his father Calvin Ray Sr, current owner Andy Ray has been running the operation since 1990. We have now made our way on to having 3rd generation family employees. Our main focus as a company is providing expert level work at a fair price and doing every project with great integrity. We aim to give people the finished product they want with the quality they deserve. We specialize in asphalt paving of private roads, parking lots, driveways, as well as repair work on damaged asphalt. We also offer services in grading, driveway installations and gravel laying. We do residential, commercial, and contractor projects and service the entire greater triangle area as well as Granville and Franklin County.
